Job Description Essential Functions of a Technical Editor: Work with development staff to develop technical training material for basic and advanced levels. Review and edit content to meet instructional objectives. Ensure content is written appropriately for the targeted audience. Edit for grammar, style, content, format, consistency, and organization. Train and develop the editorial and writing staff. Requirements for the Technical Editor: Engineering degree in a field such as automation, controls, or equivalent industry experience. 3 years of technical editing experience. Minimum of 5 years work experience. Strong understanding of industrial technologies: motor control, PLCs, smart factory, HVAC, mechanical drives, etc. Excellent written communication skills. Excellent analytical skills. Live in or near Louisville metro area.
