Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

As a Blog Editor, you'll use your storytelling and analytical skills to drive awareness of Google Cloud’s data analytics products and how customers are putting these to use in their industries. You’ll bring an understanding of the newest trends in technology along with expertise in writing and proven experience publishing technical and thought-leadership content, building affinity, starting discussions, and measuring the impact and performance of content. As a part of this role, you will work across the marketing, product management, engineering and leadership teams to help craft the voice of our product and help it grow a loyal following.
In this role, you'll be involved with content strategy from beginning to end. You will be the eyes and ears of the market, ensuring our content matches the interests and passion of developers building on cloud. This will be a key role in helping to drive adoption of Google Cloud Platform.

Edit content written by product managers and engineers daily for blog posts, ensuring this content meets our editorial standard and narrative.
Coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
Work with PR/AR/product marketing/legal to ensure approvals are met across the board in a timely and efficient manner.
Work closely with other content marketers to help ensure a coordinated and efficient approach to content development.
Write compelling articles about how customers are using these products today across a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, financial services, media and entertainment, and more.
Bachelor's degree in Communication/Technical Marketing, Computer Science or a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of work experience writing and editing in this field.
5 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in working across organizational boundaries to achieve success.
Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment.
Outstanding communication skills and ability to translate complexity into simple and intuitive communications and instruction in writing.
