Our client, a Global Pharmaceutical & Medical Device firm, is currently seeking a Proofreader for a 6 month temporary position with the opportunity for an extension.\u00a0 The position is located in Lake Forest, IL. \r

The hours for this position are as follows\r
\tMonday to Friday 8:00am-5:00pm\r
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to)\r
\tThe primary role of the proof-reader is to compare draft artwork against redlined artwork and indicate inconsistencies.\r
\tAccurately and efficiently proofread labeling artwork as well as a wide variety of other documentation, such as specifications, templates, drawings, etc. The comparison consists of visual character by character and/or electronic verification methods.\r
\tIdentify the draft artwork with all incorrect spelling, punctuation, dimensions, geometry, all aspects of bar coding, copy direction, copy placement, copy layout, formatting, and spacing, as compared to the change request, red-lined artwork, drawings, template and specifications.\u00a0\r
\tAssist the graphic artists with the proofreading of drawing templates (a visual diagram of a die drawing) for dimensional accuracy.\r
\tOperate electronic bar code verification system and electronic comparator program.\r
The ideal candidate would have an Associate\u2019s Degree or Bachelor\u2019s degree in English, Journalism or similar, or equivalent experience as well as 1 year of proofreading experience, preferable in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat Professional, and strong computer skills are required. Must have good command of the English language, both written and verbal, and strong organizational and communication skills.\r
