Responsibilities

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• 2 years editing in a newsroom environment preferred,

including experience with breaking news, video editing

and dedicated social publishing experience; must be a

skilled text AND video editor with outstanding

communication skills and the ability to prioritize while

multitasking

• Demonstrate experience with managing breaking news,

video editing and packaging/publishing on social media

accounts for a news outlet(s)

• Must be willing to work West Coast shift

• Desire to work in a creative, demanding, competitive but

highly rewarding news environment

Desired Characteristics

• Experience analyzing social and site analytics, and

generating reports

• Experience as a site cover editor or similar digital media

experience

• Active awareness of MSNBC personalities and brands
