The Videographer/Editor is responsible for hands-on video production, shooting and editing under the supervision and guidance of the Executive Producer. They will light and shoot interviews, manage video, audio and graphic assets, and maintain the accuracy of the digital video library. The videographer/editor will edit videos from beginning to end including importing footage, creating stringouts, assemblies, rough cuts, fine cuts, color correction, audio mix, graphics, titling, music editing, and music composition.
Editing and Graphics: Use Adobe Creative Cloud to create high quality, polished, and creatively edited videos. Review cuts with clients and incorporate comments to create a strong product that serves the clients' needs. Complete sound mixing and color correction. Identify correct format and compression needs and complete projects to specifications. Create all outputs, including masters, captioned versions and textless splits. Use graphics software to build high quality, creative 2D text graphics and other animations as needed. Identify software and plug-in needs to build graphics. Archive projects and video elements, and ensure appropriate media management. Troubleshoot edit system problems. Manage software licenses.
Audio/Music: Conduct music searches, compose music bridges, foley audio, and search for sfx. Do final mixes on own videos and other editor's videos.
Videography: Assist in video shoots as a grip, camera operator, and assistant camera operator. Must have experience with 4K cameras such as the Canon C300 MKII. Must understand recording formats, bit rates, lighting, setting up lights, calibrating monitors, and setting up audio.','!*!
Minimum three (3) years of experience with multi-camera shoots, directing actors and use of special effects required.
Minimum three (3) years of work samples showing experience with HD video, corporate identity, leadership communication, and editing.
Minimum one (1) year of experience color grading RAW footage.
Minimum one (1) year of experience mixing audio in Adobe Audition.
Minimum one (1) year of experience on video production sets using 4K cameras and multi-camera shoots.
Bachelor's degree required, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration
Demonstrated interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Has the interpersonal skills and flexibility to work in a matrixed organization that includes a local supervisor and department, a technical production team located in California, and others in the organization who will provide client direction directly and indirectly.
Strong critical thinking and analysis skills.
Ability to communicate media technology information and limitations to non-technical personnel. Thorough demonstrated knowledge of media production best practices, technologies and processes.
Familiarity with editing systems and post-production facilities. Significant knowledge of union regulations, copyright laws, Actor's Guild requirements, insurance regulations and others.
Minimum five (5) years of experience with developing video for web distribution.
