THE ROLE: Assistant Fashion Editor-Home
We’re looking for…
The right person to join the Editorial team in putting together Home Editorial boutiques and Standing Shops to drive the business.
What you’ll accomplish…
Help to execute all home editorial primary curated events and standing shops (from conception to completion)
Create and maintain the home editorial calendar (with detailed information on upcoming events, sales plan, categories, status etc.)
When needed - help to manage and coordinate orders for all home curated events and shops
Pull event performance and metrics to help maximize the productivity of the home editorial events and shops
Communicate with the merchandising teams on direction (style guidance, the visuals and vision, ideal merchandise mix etc.)
Pre-launch, review and edit all event and shop assortments. Communicate changes, edits and needs to home merchants
Contribute ideas on the creative direction of home curated events and shops where needed--including hair, makeup, model selection, props, styling direction and merchandising
Work closely with the studio to make sure that the editorial vision is being represented
Provide ideas, visuals, stories, trends and themes to editorial meetings
Maintain an annual editorial pop culture & events calendar (keep track of ideas that could lend themselves to all
curated events e.g. TV shoes, movies, music festivals, celebrity news, award shows etc.)
Stay current. Monitor competitive sites daily/weekly, keep up-to-date on new brands, home and fashion news, industry changes, pop culture etc.

Constant exposure to all aspects of the Rue La La and Gilt businesses. Work closely with many of our amazing departments: Programming, Planning, Boutique Production, Creative and Marketing, and have the ability to learn from all of these teams!
You will learn to be an expert in excel, tableau, and the intricacies of editorial e-commerce itself
THE RIGHT FIT:
You have…
Minimum 1-2 years relevant home experience, with a background in editorial preferred
Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting rigorous deadlines
Passion for product and superior taste level
