Engility's Core Creative is seeking a talented and experienced multimedia journalist to join our award-winning staff. The ideal candidate is a passionate storyteller fluent in stills, video and editing who is capable of balancing high-end project work with deadline driven needs of the customer. They are collaborative with reporters, photographers, and editors and ambitious to pitch stories and see them through to publication. While the position is heavily weighted in video/multimedia, the successful candidate will be capable of excellent still photography for daily and project assignments. Candidate should have previous experience supporting the IC.
Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with polygraph and will should be able to provide a portfolio upon request.
BS in Print Journalism AND ten (10) years of relevant experience
Must has a minimum of three (3) years supporting the IC
Demonstrated excellence in researching, reporting and writing news stories, features and explanatory articles using the AP writing style
Expertise using the AP Stylebook, including four (4) years as an editor reviewing final stories for publication
Demonstrated excellence with digital photography, which includes the use of digital cameras, and a demonstrated proficiency in the application of principles of layout, design, editing, and production of multimedia photographic projects
Extensive experience in writing for multi-media platforms, such as Medium, Tumblr
Experience with managing effective working relationships with senior government or corporate leaders in a high profile and demanding office
Experience in writing and editing official correspondence on behalf of senior government or corporate leadership to a variety of external stakeholders, and executive-level workforce
