Description The Minneapolis office of Weber Shandwick is looking for a senior associate\/manager with a financial services background to join our corporate practice and bring industry experience to Weber Shandwick\u2019s growing roster of retirement, insurance and enterprise clients. In this role, you will be responsible for helping manage a Fortune 100 financial services account that serves B2B audiences, supporting industry research projects, writing technical media materials, engaging institutional trade media and expanding the client\u2019s thought leadership platform. You\u2019ll work across an integrated team that is strategically rooted in our client\u2019s business. You\u2019ll also have the opportunity to work on multiple accounts, participate in new business development, engage with clients and colleagues around the world, help develop junior team members and work in our newly renovated office in downtown Minneapolis. Primary Responsibilities include: \u2022 Tactical program management \u2022 Developing program plans \u2022 Developing comprehensive media strategies \u2022 Translating financial services research in to media materials \u2022 Writing news releases, pitches, byline articles and editorial content \u2022 Developing engaging stories on behalf of clients \u2022 Creating communications plans and presentations \u2022 Interacting with clients \u2022 Preparing senior spokespeople with media interview preparation \u2022 Monitoring financial services trends and reporting to the team \u2022 Tracking coverage and updating master media lists \u2022 Participating in new business and staff development Qualifications \u2022 BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field \u2022 Minimum of 5-6 years of PR experience required; agency experience preferred \u2022 Experience in B2B financial services, retirement or insurance industries a plus \u2022 Excellent research and writing skills \u2022 Ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines \u2022 Applied media relations and social media skills \u2022 Experience supporting a major financial services account with client interactions \u2022 Understanding of working with highly regulated industries \u2022 Ability to contribute to strategic planning and execution of PR programs \u2022 Thought leadership platform expertise for a major client or organization is a plus \u2022 Hardworking, organized and high energy Weber Shandwick is proud to be an Equal Opportunity employer.
