Requirements

Macmillan Learning is currently offering a paid internship opportunity for Fall 2019. Interns will be provided with the opportunity to participate in work related assignments, gain practical work experience, and network with employees from various departments. The Macmillan Learning Internship Program is available for students currently enrolled in a college or university or recent graduates within the past 3 months.

Position Description:

The intern supports the Editor and Editorial Assistant in the higher education division in editorial-related duties.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include soliciting instructor feedback on book projects, proofreading text, creating art logs and permissions logs, helping to turnover manuscripts to production, collating textbook surveys from a wide range of college professors and providing contact information for psychology professors who might consider adopting a new textbook. The intern may also attend weekly status meetings and other meetings related to the publishing process.

Required Skills:

• Superior verbal and written communication skills

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Exceptional organizational skills and interpersonal skills

• Ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines

• Attention to detail

• English, Publishing Studies, or Psychology major preferred
